Ajay Bedi is a professional choreographer, visual artist & community event catalyst originally from Kenosha, WI. He currently works as a K.U.S.D. choreographer, a freelance florist at Strobbe’s Flower Cart & is the lead organizer for Kenosha’s Good-Deeds-Day Event (Sunday May 26th 2019).
While working in NYC as a dance instructor and in the experiential marketing industry, Ajay synced with the city’s visual art scene in 2014 with his first solo exhibit taking place in Arturo Di Modica’s Soho work shop loft (bull on Wall Street artist). This experience allowed Ajay to focus on his terrariums and nature photography while fine tuning his creative projection.
Soon after Ajay began curating NYC window displays for floral businesses and jewelry brands. This lead him to visual merchandise brand presentations at the Javits and Miami Convention Centers and curate an arts based Manhattan high school senior art class presentation in Chelsea’s gallery district.
Ajay was that able to combine his event and arts experience by representing artist portfolios during NYC’s annual Armory Arts Week and connecting galleries to potential community partnerships. He later had a chance of a lifetime to execute live floral installations alongside Kevin Lee from BHHW.
Since moving back to Kenosha in 2016, Ajay’s been supplying silk floral instillations and terrarium workshops to our city’s annual creative events and festivals such as GTW’s Earth Day Event & Get Behind the Arts as well as for the Chicago Flower & Garden Show and weddings.
Ajay’s current focus with his art-flow is to provide a metaphysical outlet by connecting to nature and organic moments. Whether it’s live or silk florals there’s always beauty and sensory stimulation.
